The faculty list alone is worth attending for (including a fair few Australians and a Kiwi); but have a look through the course program and you'll see that it hits the current and the controversial. There is even a talk on media in medicine on day 2, though it is possibly more to do with television and radio than Twitter and Google+.

There will also be a 2 day, hands-on course on everything ultrasound for the modern intensivist.
